Work on a new shopping zone along the southwest edge of Prague appears to be back on track. The Czech Environmental Ministry had blocked the project after the nearby village of Dobřejovice appealed the planning permits. However, a review of the issue over the summer has led to the greenlighting of the project. The Praha-Jih zone will be built in phases on a 390,000 sqm site between the E6 and E7 exits from D1 motorway in Čestlice, just outside Prague. The developer plans to invest CZK 1.5bn into the project. Domo Development began work on the infrastructure last spring and hopes to complete the project by 2019.
