Tomasz Chrostny, the President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKIK) has imposed PLN 320,000 (approx. EUR 70,000) of penalty on MOGO (the company granting loans and credits ) for adopting practices that violate collective consumer interests and the obligation to eliminate their lasting effects. MOGO is to reimburse the affected consumers who have been unlawfully charged. According to UOKiK, the activities of the entrepreneur violated the Consumer Credit Act and the Competition and Consumer Protection Act and were contrary to good practices.
