MOL investing CZK 500m in petrol station rebranding, reconstruction

4 May 2018

The Hungarian oil company MOL bought the Pap Oil chain of petrol stations in 2012, but it’s been in no rush to remodel them or even change their names. But as fuelling stations around the country are being updated, adding new types of food and services and general redesigns, MOL has decided to unify its brand in the country. Most of the 114 Pap Oil stations are to be remodeled by 2020 through a CZK 500m investment that will see their names changed at the same time as the standard MOL interior design will be installed. This includes its Fresh Corner restaurant concept. Each of the big filling station chains has its own set of services and goods to drive sales by offering convenience food items and refreshments. Shell is working with Billa to offer a limited range of groceries, while Benzina has its Stop Café concept.
