Montenegro could allow stores to open on Sundays again

30 April 2020

The Montenegrin Ministry of Economy is considering a proposal by the country’s Employers Union to abolish non-working Sundays. The companies claim that having lost nearly 30 days of trading thanks to the coronavirus epidemic, opening every day of the week would give them a better chance to meet all of their obligations. Stores were banned from Sunday trading beginning just last October. The union said that the jobs of 37,000 employees could depend on the ability of stores to open up again on Sunday.
