The Ministry of Finance and Social Welfare of Montenegro announced that from January to November last year, the dynamics of budget revenues and expenditures affected the budget with a deficit in the amount of 397.3 million EUR, or 8.6 percent of GDP, which is 47.3 million EUR or 13.5 percent higher than planned.
The movement of budget revenues and expenditures in the period January-November is directly affected by the epidemiological situation in the country, where the continuous decline in the collection of budget revenues due to the implementation of measures that limited economic activity.
Budget revenues in the same period amounted to 1.4564 billion EUR or 31.6 percent of estimated GDP which is 69.5 million EUR or 4.6 percent less than planned by the Law on Amendments and amendments to the Budget Law. The decline in revenue collection is primarily the result of a significant decline in tourism turnover, compared to the plan after the rebalance.
