The tender for construction of a solar power plant at the Velje brdo site should be announced by the end of the year, said an official at Montenegro’s Economy of Montenegro. Nikola Vujovic admitted the tender as well as the renting of land needed for the project should have been completed during the third quarter, but had been delayed by the coronavirus pandemic. The solar power plant has been designed to have an installed capacity of 50 megawatts and has spatial planning documentation prepared in the Velje Brdo area. But Vujovic said a potential investor in the project now claims the location offers significantly higher potential.
