More than 230,000 sqm added to Poland’s retail stock in Q1

24 July 2019

More than 230,000 sqm was added to Poland’s total retail stock across all formats in the first half of 2019, according to Małgorzata Dziubińska, associate director at Cushman & Wakefield. “Half of that total was delivered through new openings and extensions of existing shopping centers. The opening of Galeria Młociny (78,500 sqm) in Warsaw was an indisputable highlight of the market,” said Dziubińska. “At present, there are no large-scale retail projects under construction. The markets of the key metropolitan areas are becoming increasingly saturated, but there is still room for smaller, complementary retail schemes in both large cities and smaller towns.”
