The developer Multi has signed a future sale agreement with Tesco to take over an ageing department store in Prešov. The deal opens way for Multi to redevelop it into a Forum shopping center. Multi already owns adjacent land along Štefánikova, Hviezdoslavova and Hlavná streets and plans to build a 66,000 sqm shopping complex on the site. The project will offer 120 shops on 30,000 sqm of retail space, including a supermarket, as well as restaurants, cafés, multiplex and a fitness center. Multi’s current project has doubled the original amount of retail space for Forum Prešov. The project is currently in EIA proceedings, with construction expected to start in the second half of 2017.
