John Brunetti, the owner of the Hialeah Park Racing and Casino, has purchased a 38-acre development site in Florida City for $6.74 million. Currently used as the Southern Comfort RV Resort, the property is located at 345 East Palm Drive. The Spanish bank selling the property, NCG Banco, seized the tract in a $10.37 million deed in lieu of foreclosure in 2009. The bank was represented by Avison Young’s Jay A. Ziv and Michael T. Fay.
“This investment opportunity was highly favorable to buyers due to its desirable infill location coupled with its high potential for development of a structure that will benefit from the high traffic of Florida residents and tourists that travel through the area frequently,” said Ziv said.
