The company CG Foods from Nepal has opened a noodle factory in Ruma, Serbia. The Nepalese investor, which produces Wai Wai noodles, is part of the global conglomerate Cinnovation Group. The company has invested €9m into the new factory, its first in Europe, which will open in October. It will also serve as a training center for new workers from the other factories within the company. CG Foods employs 100 workers in Ruma, but this number must increase to 209 by the end of 2018 under the terms of its agreement with the Serbian state. Other terms include the requirement that 90 percent of the raw materials used in production come from Serbia. As much as 90 percent of the factory’s production is expected to be exported.
