NEPI and Dedeman have split the purchase of an 84,000 sqm plot, with each purchasing 42,000 sqm. The Romanian DIY retailer plans to open a new store at the site, but NEPI has not disclosed its plans for the site yet. Active Property Services, a Cushman & Wakefield partner, represented the seller Bega Group, in the transaction. The price of the deals was not disclosed.
Dedeman is actively expanding its reach within Romanian, and will open a new store on Friday in Targu Jiu. Offering 12,000 sqm of space and 380 parking spots, it’s the fourth Dedeman store in Targu Jiu and the chain’s 40th store in Romania. The company plans to have 50 locations in its Romanian network within the next two years. Dragos Paval, Dedeman’s president, said that 80 percent of Dedeman products come from local suppliers.
