New car sales in Estonia were up 10 percent y-o-y in January, according to the association of Estonian car dealers and service companies (AMTEL). A total of 1,785 new cars were sold during the month. Jeeps accounted for 34.6 percent of the total cars told in January. Small and medium-sized car sales increased by 11 percent and 43 percent respectively last month. Meanwhile, utility vehicles sales fell by 3.4 percent y-o-y, totaling just 476 sales in January. Models from Toyota, Honda and Škoda were the top sellers during the period. Estonia exported 44 cars during January.
