Developed by WING, the GOBUDA Mall shopping centre was completed in the spring, with new stores continuing to open now. The food options are also expanding, with visitors able to choose from more and more outlets when looking for a tasty bite to eat or premium ingredients.
The mall in Óbuda is home to the first Stühmer Chocolate shop in Budapest, which sells delicacies made from the finest ingredients. Great for those with a sweet tooth! The confectionery offers an exciting selection of over 30 types of cakes, each with a different combination of flavours, as well as specialty ice creams. If you love sweets you will also appreciate the Szamos Confectionery, which follows time-honoured Szamos traditions, offering cakes and ice cream made using quality ingredients. The outlet in the mall is the first Szamos store to open in Óbuda.
The Fishmonger seafood restaurant and shop, which is on the ground floor, will delight foodies with a selection of special fish and seafood from all over the world. Meat-lovers that visit the mall will be in steak heaven at Hússzabóság, where butchers offer customers a personal selection of the finest meats. The shop offers only premium products, which come from local producers as well as suppliers from around the world.
The Belfrit fast food restaurant is scheduled to open in mid-October: visitors will enjoy this addition to the GOBUDA Mall eatery scene, offering fresh Belgian fries and traditional burgers. With a selection of freshly made quality dishes, the restaurant will be an outstanding and invigorating alternative to other fast food options. When winter sets in, coffee lovers will appreciate Café Frei, Óbuda’s newest coffee shop. Located on the mezzanine, it level will be perfect for intimate conversations.
And there is also an INTERSPAR, which opened at the same time as the shopping centre itself. The completely revamped supermarket offers a selection of quality ingredients for cooking and baking at home. If you’re into wine you will enjoy browsing the wide selection of the Radovin Wine Shop. The Box Donut, which sells unusually shaped doughnuts in a wide variety of flavours, is also a real delight. OXO Bubble Tea is another new outlet at the shopping centre, offering a wide selection of fresh and energising flavoured fruit teas and milky teas. The Belgian Bakery opened in the spring, adding another food outlet to the mall’s already broad offering. It sells freshly baked, quality products, gourmet specialties and a selection of sandwiches.
Thanks to its manageable size, GOBUDA Mall, formerly known as EuroCenter Óbuda, has a welcoming atmosphere, making it a great meeting point and community space in the north Buda region. The renovation has transformed GOBUDA Mall into a modern shopping centre with a leasable area of 25,000 square metres. It has space for around 100 stores, and also fulfills a service function, meeting the needs of today’s consumers.
