Olympia Brno is expected to change hands in the first quarter of this year. Hospodářské noviny writes that Deutsche EuroShop seems poised to take over the shopping center after CPI PG, owned by Radovan Vítek, reportedly withdrew. Deutsche EuroShop is a German investor focusing on leading retail the CE region. It already owns 20 shopping centers and department stores around Germany, Austria, Poland and Hungary. Its portfolio is worth €4.5bn (CZK 121bn). The daily quotes Jan Kotrbáček, head of retail team at Cushman & Wakefield, saying the sale may be one of the largest property transactions in 2017. The price, however, is not expected to surpass the CZK 15.6bn benchmark, set by the sale of the Palladium shopping mall in Prague 1 two years ago.
