The Polish Agency for Enterprise Development (PARP) has announced a new call for proposals under its “Sustainable Tourism” initiative, part of the European Funds for Eastern Poland 2021-2027 (FEPW) program. This initiative, with a substantial budget of PLN 297 million, aims to foster the development of sustainable tourism across Eastern Poland.
Eligible local governments from the Eastern Poland voivodships are invited to apply for co-financing, provided they form partnerships that include entities from at least two of the region’s voivodships. The initiative also welcomes participation from entrepreneurs, non-governmental organizations, and other stakeholders involved in tourism, such as those specializing in water management, forest management, and social enterprises.
The program offers a generous co-financing rate of up to 85% of eligible costs, with financial support provided as a non-refundable grant.
The primary objective of the “Sustainable Tourism” action is to develop supra-regional tourist products that leverage the rich historical, cultural, natural, and landscape values of Eastern Poland. These products are expected to significantly contribute to the socio-economic development of the region and local communities, with a focus on attracting tourists through enhanced cycling routes, kayaking infrastructure, and camping facilities.
