The Croatian retail chain Pevec is completing its new project, a €6m retail park it’s developing in the city of Vukovar. The first phase of the park will offer 2,200 sqm of leasable space and is expected to open in October. Pevec plans to expand by another couple thousand square meters in the future. “I am very pleased with this purchase because we have continued a series of takeovers of the facilities in which we operate and enabling us to create new jobs,” said Pevec CEO Jurica Lovrinčević. Pevec is one of the original Croatian retailers, having been established in 1990. In last three years, Pevec has taken over eight retail centers in which it had stores, while opening another 5. Future plans involve the construction of another two shopping centers in Split and in Vinkovci.
