The Pizza Hut restaurant chain has announced that it is ending its activities in Greece and closing all 16 restaurants, leaving 180 employees without jobs. The company claimed its operations were no longer viable after the pandemic. It follows a period of several years during which the company exerted great efforts to turn the business around. But those efforts were reversed during the coronavirus pandemic, exacerbating existing difficulties and causing irreversible damage. Countless restaurants and chains across the country have collapsed in similar fashion.
