PKN Orlen targets Czech petrol station acquisitions

PKN Orlen, Poland’s largest oil refinery, is on the lookout for more petrol station in the Czech Republic and Germany. Vice president Miroslaw Kochalski told Reuters the company that PKN currently has 401 Czech stations and 581 in Germany. “If a possibility to buy petrol stations in the Czech Republic or in Germany appears, we’ll definitely have to analyze it,” he said. The newswire also reported that PKN is trying to increase its control over its Czech counterpart Unipetrol, offering CZK 380 per share. It’s seeking a 90 percent shareholding in Unipetrol from its current 63 percent. The results of the recent tender will be made public within a few days.
