19 September 2012

PKP Intercity, the subsidiary of the Polish State Railways could end up with a PLN 20m loss this year, according to Janusz Malinowski, the company’s president. Malinowski made these remarks during InnoTrans 2012, a conference taking place in Berlin this week. The company had predicted that the EURO 2012 championships, held in Poland this year, could help drive profits up, but the reality turned out to be quite different. Malinowski now anticipates PKP will likely stay in the red until 2014.
