30 May 2024

PKP Intercity will run an average of 454 trains per day during the 2024 holiday season, 31 more than in the same period last year, the carrier said.

There will be 31 more pairs of long-distance connections than in the 2023 holiday season, a journey in a record time of 2 hr 25 min from Warsaw to Gdansk and under 5 hr from Warsaw to Szczecin, as well as additional connections to Krakow and Zakopane. PKP Intercity’s summer timetable will come into force on 9 June this year.

The increased number of connections will allow travellers to comfortably reach popular holiday resorts by the sea and in the mountains, the company announced.

PKP Intercity is Poland’s largest long-distance rail carrier. In 2023, it had around 68 million passengers.
