Poland’s consumer confidence indicator fell 2 percent in September compared to August, according to the Polish National Statistics Office GUS. The index, which ranges from -100 to +100, currently stands at -9.9, indicating the low confidence of Polish consumers. However, the figure was 4.3 percent above where it stood at the same time last year. The office’s forward-looking indicator on consumer confidence fell by 2.1 percent in September month-on-month to -15.3. The poor showing is based on slipping consumer confidence in economic growth according to GUS.
