Poland’s retail sales jumped 2% in December

Poland’s retail sales increased by 2 percent year-on-year in December, recent figures from Eurostat show. However, sales were down 0.5 percent compared with the previous month. Figures from the Polish Statistical Office (GUS), meanwhile, show retail sales increased by 1.8 percent y-o-y in December.

At the same time, retail sales in the eurozone rose by 2.8 percent y-o-y in December and by 3.2 percent in the EU region, beating market expectations of 2 percent.
