The Polish retail market grew by nearly 140,000 sqm of GLA in the third quarter, according to BNP Paribas Real Estate. This is a significant increase compared to the first half of the year when only a mere 26,000 sqm of GLA in five schemes were completed. By the end of the year, developers are set to deliver another 200,000 sqm of retail GLA. Key completions in Q4 so far included Unibal-Rodamco’s Wroclavia complex as well as Serenada, featuring 160 stores, both of which open recently in Kraków. The Skende shopping center, next to the IKEA department store, is also set to open soon in Lublin.
