PPF to develop logistics zone in Russia

25 March 2015

PPF, owned by the Czech billionaire Petr Kellner, is considering developing an industrial and logistics zone on the outskirts of the Russian city of Ufa. The complex would go up on a 12 ha site along the M5 motorway, 1,400 km to the east of Moscow. PPF, which owns the land through its property arm, PPF Real Estate Russia, is currently negotiating with potential tenants. PPF spokesman Radek Stavěl told e15 that the site offers infrastructure and railway connections, making it ideal for the development of a container transshipment hub. The area could accommodate 60,000 sqm of warehouse space. PPF wants to have half of the space pre-leased before it starts construction.
