Prague’s second outlet seeks staff

9 March 2018

The Czech media is filling with reports about outlet centers, which is a sure sign that a fight for customers and tenants is in full swing. It’s remarkable that today, only two genuine outlet malls are truly operational in the Czech Republic, so it’s no real surprise that a third, the second in Prague, is due to open in the spring. If doubts remain over the opening, it’s because construction of the mall near the Prague airport was nearly completed back in 2013 but never opened, while another investor later failed to rejuvenate the scheme with Italian fashion and goods. The latest owner, Neinver, is a serious retail developer and outlet operator with a real track record and its renamed the project Prague The Style Outlets. The company says its tenants are currently looking for staff for a number of positions, according to the daily Blesk. In all, the mall is expected to create 500 jobs. Roughly 115 stores are to open in the first phase of the scheme, which will total 30,000 sqm once both phases are completed.
