The German retailer Praktiker has launched the first phase of its restructuring program which is to close some of its stores. Only one of its location has been shut down so far, though eight more closures are expected this year. The total number of the stores to be closed in the near time has not yet been revealed this is said to depend on the result of current restructuring measures being carried out. Unofficial, unconfirmed sources claim that nearly 30 stores in Praktiker’s network are currently unprofitable.
