Omer Susli, the Turkish investor who bought the local Praktiker DIY chain, plans to open two new stores in Giurgiu and Targu-Jiu by the end of the year. Susli also said he plans to hire an additional 400 employees after sales increased at the chain’s 27 stores. Susli recently completed the acquisition of Praktiker after the Competition Council approved the deal, which was announced in February. Praktiker turned a profit this year after reporting €16.5m in losses in 2013.
