The retailer Profi has opened a new store in the city of Alesd in western Romania.
The new discount supermarket covers 550 sqm store and carries 5,000 food and non-food products.
Profi, which now has 134 stores in its Romanian network, ended last year with a €214.5m turnover, a 29-percent increase from 2010, according to the daily Ziarul Financiar.
