Profi Rom Food SRL, which operates the Profi supermarket network, is planning to invest more than €50m in 2018 to expand its network and logistics base in Romania to about 900 units. In 2017, the Romanian retailer opened nearly 200 units on the local market and is expected to close the year with a turnover of more than €1bn. The company currently has nearly 13,000 employees.
