Pulte Homes has closed on the purchase of a 44 acre tract of land within Tamarac’s Woodmont Country Club for $10.2 million. The acquisition will allow the home builder to move forward with plans for 152 single-family home development of The Enclaves at Woodmont. The property, located at 7801 NW 80th Ave., previously had 36 golf holes, but 18 were closed by the owner. Pulte will build on nine of those holes. Construction of the project sales center and model homes is scheduled to begin in late fall while homes will be ready to move into by the spring or summer of 2018.
“We are bringing a new construction product that is considered particularly affordable for Broward County, which is still experiencing tremendous demand,” said Brent Baker, president of Pulte’s Southeast Florida division. “There are many local families seeking to relocate to Broward for the schools, housing opportunities and overall quality of life. Interest is also strong beyond the local market.”
