The Polish retail developer Rank Progress introduces a new strategy for the regional market, saying it will now be focusing on small and mid-sized projects. It has already secured the first plot site in the city of Oleśnica for the 6,000 sqm project. The pre-purchase agreement for the land has been signed, said Jan Mroczka, head of Rank Progress. “We will be taking the plots from the investors, who already have all permits in place,” he said.
Rank Progress expects to start work on the Oleśnica project in the first half of the year.
Mroczka says, the company will be targeting cities with the population oof 50,000 or less, as the tenants are currently interested in projects of no more than 6,000 sqm. “We’re currently in talks with some landlords to take over investments in the initial phase or just the land,” he said.
