The Polish developer Rank Progress is set to break ground on a retail project in Mielec. Site preparation work is currently underway on Powstańców Warszawy street. Rank Progress acquired the plot in November, and it hopes to have the project completed in the fourth quarter of 2014. Galeria Aviator shopping center will add 34,000 sqm to the local market, of which 26,000 sqm will be retail. The list of tenants includes the DIY store Dom i Ogród, a fitness center, a hypermarket, a RTV/AGD store and the multiplex Cinema3D.
“We are convinced we’ll suceed in this region, considering the purchasing power indicators of a city with a population of 34,000,” said Halina Wyborska, spokesperson for Rank Progress.
