IKEA is planning to build a new store on the southern edge of Prague, according to E15, a move which would mark its first new Czech store since 2004. The publication reports that infrastructure work for a shopping center has begun on other side of the D1 motorway from the Cestlice shopping zone. IKEA representatives have refused to confirm the reports, claiming that they are interested in several potential locations for the next store. There have been occasional reports for a couple years now about IKEA’s involvement in the site, but they’ve never been confirmed by the company.
