The Hungarian retail sales volume, according to both raw and calendar-adjusted data, grew by 6.3 percent in October, compared to the same month last year, according to the Central Statistical Office (KSH). The volume of sales in October, adjusted for calendar effects, rose by 3.1 percent in specialized and non-specialized food shops, by 9.7 percent in non-food retail shops and by 7.1 percent in automotive fuel retail compared to the same month of the previous year. The volume of sales grew by 3.2 percent in non-specialized food and beverage shops and by 2.8 percent in specialized food, beverage and tobacco stores, according to KSH.
