Rewe is expanding its Penny Market chain in Romania, having recently opened a new store in Turda. This is the second Penny Market location in the city. The new store offers 864 sqm of retail space. The German retailer now operates 224 stores in the country. Rewe opened 26 new stores in 2017 and invested more than RON 482m into the modernization and expansion of its Romanian network. The company’s investment budget for 2018 amounts to €80m.
