Coral Gables-based GW Brickell has purchased six empty plots in Miami’s Brickell area for $26 million or $1,142 per square foot. The parcels are located east of Brickell Metro Rail Station at S.W. 1st Ave. and 88 S.W. 10th Street. The seller, Rockville Hospitality company bought the 22,770 square foot property in December 2013 for just $9 million, suggesting a return of 189 percent over just 14 months. The buyer, headed by Brazilian investor Jose Luis Galveas Lourerio, utilized a $11 million mortgage from Exchange Solutions Group for the acquisition.
