The e-shop Rohlik.cz has been a growing force on the online retail scene for the last couple years, but the first quarter of 2018 marked the first time in its four-year history that it actually turned a profit. According to its majority shareholder and found Tomáš Čupr, its EBITDA result came out in the black and he expects further growth for the remainder of the year. Specifically, he plans to reach sales of CZK 2.5bn in 2018 and double that in 2019. In its search for profits, the company is already acting like a supermarket chain by beginning to produce its own brand of foodstuffs, including yogurts, ham and some prepared foods.
