The Czech online groceries retailer Rohlik.cz begins rolling out own line of high-quality branded goods today. Senior procurement manager Michal Perlík said the products would be chosen in cooperation with a group of 13 trusted producers and suppliers Rohlik.cz has worked with for years. Along with larger companies like Hollandia and LeCo, these include smaller specialists like Řeznictví a uzenářství U Dolejších, Bio Vavřinec, Gaston, the Merhautovo family-owned bakery, Sklizeno, and Balad Coffee. To promote the new line of goods, one of them will be sold online each day at a price of CZK 1 beginning today. Asked if he were worried that people might exploit the symbolic price, Rohlik.cz found Tomáš Čupr said “We couldn’t ever do anything if we were afraid that people are dishonest.”
