Rohlik Group has entered the German market

Online food retailer Rohlik Group has entered the German market. He began shipping orders under the Knuspr.de brand in Munich, and will also be available to customers in Frankfurt in the winter. Next year, it plans to expand the service to Dortmund, Hamburg or Cologne. Germany is the fourth country where Rohlík delivers. In addition to the Czech Republic, it also operates in Hungary as Kifli.hu and in Austria under the Gurkerl.at brand.

Knuspr.de couriers in Germany deliver orders from Monday to Saturday between 07:00 and 22:00. The company guarantees delivery time within three hours of ordering. The company buys over two thirds of products without intermediaries, directly from producers and farmers.

“We expect that the share of online food purchases in Germany will reach 30 percent in the next five years, and we with Knuspr.de want to be there. Our goal is to supply food to approximately 30 million customers within three years and become number one in the medium term. in the field of online food supply in Germany,” said Erich Čomor, who heads Knuspr.de.

According to its founder and CEO Tomáš Čupr, the Rohlik Group plans to expand to Romania, Italy, France and Spain in the near future. The investments that the company received this year contribute to faster expansion. At the beginning of March, it announced that investors would invest 190 million euros (about 5 billion CZK) in it. The company announced the acquisition of another 100 million euros (approximately CZK 2.5 billion) at the beginning of July.

The Rohlik Group was established in 2014. It closed the past calendar year with a turnover of over EUR 300 million (CZK 7.8 billion), which is an annual increase of more than 100 percent, and 750,000 customers.
