Czech food retailer Rohlik Group, the operator of the largest online supermarket in the Czech Republic, has launched its e-groceries services for the general public in Bucharest and part of Ilfov County, following an investment of EUR 6 million.
The company wants to become the leader of the online food sales market, having already prepared about 8,000 products in the range and its own logistics system. Rohlik has appointed Tomáš Chadzivasilis, former CEO of NextGen Communications, to head the operations in Romania.
The company provides same-day home delivery services starting less than 2 hours after orders are placed. Rohlik currently operates in four markets under the brands Rohlik (Czech Republic), Kifli (Hungary), Gurkerl (Austria) and Knuspr (Germany).
