Rossmann sales jump 12% outside Germany

The German retailer Rossmann achieved sales growth of 6.8 percent in 2017, reaching €9bn, according to a company announcement. German sales grew by just 4.5 percent last year to €6.4bn (it was €6.12bn in 2016), but the company’s foreign network is where its greatest hopes currentl lie. In 2017, sales in Poland, Hungary, Czechia, Turkey and Albani jumped 12.9 percent to €2.6bn, or 29 percent of consolidated sales. The company has succeeding in increasing its sales for several consecutive years now. The company currently operates 3,770 across Europe, 1,670 of which are outside Germany. The company plans to open 230 new stores in 2018, of which 105 will be in Germany.
