Russians propose cooperation with German companies on energy cooperation

The German-Russian Chamber of Commerce has issued a joint statement announcing that companies from the two countries will expand their energy ties by building a hydrogen production plant. The chamber’s head Matthias Schepp said the two countries should take advantage of years of cooperation by working on the pilot project. They’ve already formed a strategic partnership in the oil and gas sectors which is especially visible in the oil and gas sector in the Nord Stream 2 natural gas pipeline project. Germany has previously expressed a willingness to provide EUR 2bn for such projects.
