Samsung has put up for sale a 45 MW solar project in Giurgiu, one of the largest in Romania, awaiting offers from the market. Completed in 2012, the Giurgiu solar park required an investment of EUR 160 million.
At that time, the solar park was the largest in Romania. On the global map of Samsung’s investments in green energy, the solar project in Romania is the largest that the group owns in Europe, Asia and the USA, but the Koreans have in their portfolio parks with a larger capacity in Canada.
