Second outlet center in Prague to open by 2016

13 June 2014

Dreitonel plans to open Prague’s second retail outlet center near the airport by spring 2016. The Prague Outlet will offer 190 shops on 31,000 sqm. The center will open in three phases, with the first 80 shops to open by the end of next year or at the beginning of 2016, writes the daily Hospodářské noviny.

Originally called Galleria Moda, the complex was expected to open in 2007, but the original investor went bankrupt after it completed the project but failed to lease the space. The complex was renamed The Prague Outlet by Dreitonel, a company reportedly connected with investment group PPF. Its head, Martin Kubišta, said the acquisition and start of operations will cost a total of CZK 1bn. PPF Banka is the lender.
