The UK’s Secret Escapes purchased the Slovak discount e-shop Zlavomat.sk as part of its acquisition of the Slevomat Group, which also operates the Czech discount aggregate Skrz.cz. Hospodarske noviny writes that this is one of the largest transactions on the Czech and Slovak e-commerce markets. The price of the transaction was reportedly around €60m, according to Czech Forbes. Zlavomat director Aleš Mlátilík told the daily, however, that the real sales price was much higher. For Secret Escapes, the acquisition should help accelerate its growth in the CE region. The company already operates Travelist.sk in Slovakia, which sells high-end holiday stays.
