Selgros Cash & Carry is to introduce a new store concept to the Romanian market. The retail company purchased land in Targu Mures where it has begun building a new supermarket that will be delivered in early summer. The 4,000 sqm store will have a different format compared to the 19 supermarkets Selgros already owns in Romania and marks the company’s first new opening for four years.
“The resumption of sales growth in our network to all categories and especially on the food segment confirms that we are competitive,” said Alexandru Vlad, CEO Selgros Cash & Carry Romania.
Selgros produced €637m in turnover in 2014 in Romania.
