Seven factories with a combined investment value of EUR 1.2 billion start production in 2024. The seven factories will produce tyres, batteries, insulation materials, plasterboard and metal profiles, heating equipment, medicines, industrial and household appliance components or masonry elements. All these large investments will create more than 1,000 manufacturing jobs across the country by 2024.
“Romania is attractive from many points of view, both from a people perspective – we have skilled people here who speak foreign languages – and from a geopolitical perspective. Entrepreneurs and multinationals alike need support because it creates competitiveness. Entrepreneurs need to keep up with the multinationals coming to Romania, and this competition only helps both,” says Adrian Garofeanu, general manager, Knauf Insulation, a company that is investing in two production units for insulation materials, plasterboard and metal profiles.
