A partnership between BREF Hillsboro and Dhanya of Miami has acquired the Shoppes of Hillsboro for $10.5 million. The 61,165 square foot center is located on West Hillsboro boulevard on two parcels with an inline strip and two single tenant pads. The seller, Kenneth Israel Shoppes of Hillsboro, bought the property in 2009 for $9 million. “Continuing a trend from 2014, retail real estate investors like what they see in Broward County strip centers,” Douglas K. Mandel, first vice president for Marcus & Millichap said in a statement. “Smaller neighborhood centers requiring less management are particularly desirable.”
