Skanska acquires new plot in Bucharest

Skanska acquired a 21,306 sqm plot in central ​​Bucharest from Pumac SA. The price of the deal was not disclosed. JLL Romania brokered the transaction. Peli Filip and Alpha Project Management advised Skanska, while Biris Goran advised Pumac SA. The plot is located on Boulevard Iuliu Maniu in the capital’s sixth district.

“We see a great demand from BPO, SSC and IT companies, who consider this area a perfect location due to the proximity of the Polytechnic University campus and access to many means of transportation,” said Marcin Łapiński, president of Skanska Property Romania.

Skanska developed Green Court in Bucharest. The scheme offers 52,000 sqm in three office buildings. The first two buildings were leased to companies like Orange, Schneider Electric, Carrefour, Sanofi, Colgate Palmolive, Adecco, Abbott Laboratories, CITR and RINF Outsourcing Solutions. The first building was sold to Globalworth Real Estate Investments Ltd.
