Okęcie district continues to grow in the city of Warsaw, as the SPV Sky Park announced that the construction of the new mall by the same name is expected to begin shortly. Nearly 17,000 sqm of retail space will be developed on Okęcie’s Krakowska Street, in the vicinity of Southern beltway of Warsaw. Few of the currently popular retailers are already running their business in the area, with Castorama and Decathlon which each have a store there, and the Centrum K61 mall, which features Real, Media Markt and Meble Agata. Galeria Sky Park is to be delivered in two phases, with the first one scheduled to deliver 9,000 sqm at the end of 2013. Work on the the first phase is scheduled to kick off in the fourth quarter of 2012.
